Brushing your teeth helps fight heart disease.


Good oral hygiene bring a reduction in risk of death from cardiovascular disease-of (heart disease and heart attack).

Evidence shows that those who brush their teeth often have a 70% increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

A study conducted on 12,000 people in Scotland who reported that they washed their teeth less than once a day were more likely to die from cardiovascular disease than those who washed twice a day.

This was despite treatment of risk factors such as body mass index, smoking, dental visits, high blood pressure and family history-t.


While the mechanism remains unclear, the researchers found a significant link between frequent teeth brushing and reduction of cardiovascular disease.
